New and very rare find of hydrothermal etched amethyst from Bahia Brazil. This material was hydrothermally etched and is also called a “dissolution crystal” referring to the dissolved nature of its structure. Over the course of millions of years underground super-heated and mineralized water flows and takes silica away from the crystal leaving behind a maze of beautiful shapes on the surface of the crystal. Think of these as earth’s gemstone carvings. Abstract, unique, and a true rarity.
