This unique sphere was carved from a single fossilized wooly mammoth tooth! It has lovely light beige colors, and the lightest parts of the sphere will fluoresce and even phosphoresce under long-wave UV light. Fossilized mammoth tooth is a very difficult material to carve properly. This piece was carved by a master lapidarist with decades of experience. The material went through several stages of stabilization during the carving process to ensure it remained solid and the finished product is outstanding!
